The UAE officially announced that Eid Al Fitr will begin on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. This announcement follows the traditional practice of moon-sighting, which determines the start of the Islamic month.
The UAE Moon-Sighting Committee declared that Tuesday, April 9, will be the final day of Ramadan.
Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Committee, stated that despite rigorous efforts to spot the crescent moon marking the new month, it remained unseen on Monday evening. Consequently, Tuesday, April 9, will conclude Ramadan, and Wednesday, April 10, will commence Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
