On Thursday night, around 9:30 pm, a fire broke out in a tall residential building located in Al Nahda, Sharjah.
People saw fire and thick smoke coming from the top floors of the building. This made everyone leave quickly. The fire alarms rang, warning everyone about the danger. Emergency response teams quickly arrived at the scene.
One resident, returning from Taraweeh prayers, noticed smoke rising from the neighbouring building. Initially, he thought it was his own tower but soon realized it was the adjacent one. By the time he reached the area, many people had already gathered outside.
Emergency services arrived around 9:45 pm to control the situation. As a precaution, residents from nearby buildings were also evacuated, while the Sharjah Civil Defence Department dispatched firefighting teams to combat the blaze.
