Fuel Prices Rise in August: Here’s What You Need to Know

Brace yourself— a shift in fuel prices is coming this August…

Starting August 1, fuel prices will be going up, with increases of up to 6 fils per litre compared to July. Here’s a quick breakdown of the new rates:

  • Super 98 petrol: Dh3.05 per litre (up from Dh2.99)
  • Special 95 petrol: Dh2.93 per litre (up from Dh2.88)
  • E-plus 91 petrol: Dh2.86 per litre (up from Dh2.80)

This means filling up your tank in August will cost you between Dh2.55 and Dh4.44 more than it did in July, depending on the type of fuel your vehicle uses. Plan accordingly and budget a little extra for your fuel expenses this month.
