On top of all this, stores are promising even lower prices than last year throughout Ramadan.

In preparation for the holy month, UAE stores are rolling out big discounts and special deals to simplify the shopping experience for everyone, whether they prefer online or in-store shopping. This initiative is designed to ensure that everyone can obtain their Ramadan essentials without straining their budgets.

Here’s what they’re up to:

Carrefour’s ‘Prices Lower Than Last Year’ Ramadan Campaign:

  • Majid Al Futtaim-owned Carrefour offers prices on 5,000 items lowered by as much as 50%, including everyday essentials, fresh food, kitchen appliances and electronics.
  • Fixed prices have been established for 100 essential items, such as rice, milk and oil, with Dh50 million allocated to ensure these products remain affordable.
  • There is a strong focus on offering healthy and affordable food options during the Ramadan period.
  • There are plans to launch fundraising campaigns that represent the giving spirit on this unique occasion.
  • Additionally, Carrefour’s own brand will offer a wide range of over 2,200 products, with an impressive 60% of these items being made locally in the UAE. This ensures a great selection of locally-produced goods, enhancing the variety available at Carrefour.

Majid Al Futtaim’s Carrefour’s country manager for the United Arab Emirates, Bertrand Loumaye, said:

“Our priority during the month is to ensure customers can access healthy, nutritious and quality food at affordable prices. Our team has diligently set prices lower than last year this Ramadan. We have also planned for various charitable initiatives, to truly embody the giving spirit of Ramadan.” 

Safeer’s Good Deals:

  • Bejoy Thomas, director for FMCG at Safeer, is giving special offers on more than 600 things with over half off, so families can get what they need.
  • They’re being careful to ensure availability, despite encountering challenges in sourcing products due to regional issues.

Bejoy Thomas said:

“Safeer has taken all necessary precautions to ensure availability overcoming the difficulties in the supply chain due to the regional geopolitical issues like the Red Sea blockade. Keep track of Safeer’s weekly price busters and take advantage of the offers of the world’s finest brands and fresh products.” 

Lulu Group’s Savings for Ramadan:

  • Lulu Group is making things up to 70% cheaper for important things like food, cooking stuff and kitchen tools.

Al Maya Supermarket:

  • Al Maya Supermarket is all set to make Ramadan special for shoppers. They’ve got a wide range of Ramadan products and exciting promotions waiting for you at all their outlets across the UAE.

Kamal Vachani, group director and partner of Al Maya Group, said:

“The offers are divided into 3 steps – pre-Ramadan which is Ahlan Ramadan, Ramadan Kareem One and Ramadan Kareem Two. Our promotions would consist of 500-plus products and cater to all customers. The offers come with huge discounts and prices are very competitive too. The pre-Ramadan promotion started on February 21, and the Ramadan Kareem promotions will start on March 6. The entire campaign will run for 45 days, covering grocery, beverages, chilled food, frozen food and fresh produce.” 

Government Stores Helping Out:

  • Stores supported by the government, like Union Coop and Sharjah Cooperative Society, are also making things much cheaper by giving discounts of up to 70% and they’re even giving away prizes to shoppers.
  • Furthermore, they have fixed the prices of 2,000 products to ensure stability for shoppers. Additionally, special discounts are available on select items for Tamayaz cardholders, offering additional savings.  The goal of this program is to give people a more reliable and satisfying purchasing experience throughout Ramadan.
  • Sharjah Cooperative Society is going all out for Ramadan! They’ve set aside Dh35 million to make a big difference. Prices on nearly 10,000 items are dropping, with an amazing 80% of them being essential food products. Imagine, they’ve cut prices by as much as 75% on important grocery items like cooking oil, flour, rice, and more. This generous move is sure to help families get their essential food items at much more affordable prices during the holy month.
  • The campaign by Sharjah Cooperative Society is making shopping even more exciting with fantastic giveaways. Imagine winning two Suzuki Dzire cars every week – that’s pretty cool! But wait, there’s more: they’re giving away 30 furniture gift cards valued at Dh5,000 each and 32 shopping gift cards worth Dh1,000. All these amazing prizes are up for those shoppers spending Dh300 or more.

  • Amazon, the e-commerce giant, is offering discounts of up to 70% on a wide range of products, including Amazon Fresh food, home goods, kitchenware, beauty products, fashion items and electronics. These discounts apply to top local, regional, and international brands such as Tilda Basmati Rice, Nespresso, Black+Decker, and Nutrichef.
  • Through the Amazon Global Store on Amazon.ae, Amazon is offering discounts on a variety of international products from Amazon US and Amazon UK with free shipping choices available.
  • Shoppers are in for a treat with discounts reaching up to 70% on fresh fruits and vegetables. And it doesn’t stop there – you can save up to 42% on cooking essentials, up to 50% on digital air fryers, up to 46% on coffee machines, up to 31% on gas cookers, up to 41% on tablets and laptops, and up to 33% on TVs. These incredible deals make it the perfect time to stock up on your favorite items and upgrade your home gadgets, all while keeping some extra cash in your pocket.
