2 New Toll Gates Coming to Dubai Business Bay in 2024

2 New Toll Gates Coming to Dubai Business Bay in 2024

Salik Company PJSC plans to introduce two new toll gates strategically placed across the city to improve traffic management and reduce congestion. This aligns with the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) initiative to optimize traffic flow in Dubai.

The new toll gates at Business Bay Crossing on Al Khail Road and Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Road set to start operations in November. Their locations chosen strategically through thorough traffic movement studies by the RTA. The main aim is to distribute traffic effectively, easing congestion by redirecting some vehicles to alternative routes with higher capacity. This promises a smoother and more streamlined travel experience for motorists in Dubai.

With Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, every vehicle at a Salik toll gate will have a Dh4 toll fee deducted automatically from the linked preloaded toll account associated with the Salik sticker tag.

In a bid to ease traffic congestion, Salik emphasized that Al Safa South, like Al Mamzar North and South, will integrated with the existing Al Safa gate (Al Safa North). Motorists passing through both gates in the same direction within one hour will only charged once.

The Al Safa South gate aims to ease congestion by cutting right-turn traffic from Sheikh Zayed Road to Meydan Street by 15% and improving traffic flow on Financial Centre, First Al Khail, and Al Asayel streets.
