Heartbreak in Sharjah – 7-Year-Old Dies After Being Left in Car

In a heartbreaking incident, a 7-year-old child passed away in Sharjah…
In the quiet streets of Sharjah, a community is left in shock and sorrow as they mourn the untimely passing of a beloved 7-year-old boy, a Bangladeshi boy. Known for his infectious smile and gentle demeanor, the young soul met a tragic fate, forgotten inside a locked car for hours on a scorching Monday afternoon.
His parents had hired a female driver to take him to and from school. After arriving at the school, everyone got out of the car except the boy. The driver, without checking, locked the car and left with her husband. When it was time for students to leave school, the child was found dead in the car.
Neighbors in the community fondly remember the cheerful child who never failed to bring joy to their lives. “He always had a smile whenever we saw him. I can’t believe he’s gone. I am just heartbroken,” shared one neighbor, echoing the sentiments of many. Similarly, the watchman of the building where the boy attended tuition was deeply impacted by the news. Pausing his activities upon hearing of the tragedy, he vividly recalled the boy’s radiant smile as he arrived hand in hand with his mother after Asr (evening prayer).
In the wake of this tragedy, questions linger about accountability and safety measures Even though the boy’s parents forgave the driver, there’s worry because some drivers don’t have the right licenses. It’s scary because some families use cheap car services that aren’t safe, without knowing the risks.
The police in Sharjah say safety matters most, even if it costs more. They say use licensed school buses, which are safer. This is a change from before when kids were left in hot buses.
